Located
near to a lovely and peaceful stretch of the River Yeltes where
swimming and fishing may be enjoyed, and in the middle of a
big dehesa (unspoiled eco-system of pasture and stone oaks),
the village is scarcely more than a hamlet, although its 17th
century church , the remains of its 15th century castle and
two midieval mansions , show that it had grander origins It
does boast a grocer shop and a pub but for anything more sophisticated,
the larger village of Villavieja de Yeltes Is only 6km away,
where there is a bank, chemist, a weekly street market, several
pubs and disco and an open-air swimming-pool in summer.
